On Wednesday, the Electric Vehicle company Tesla, founded by the world's richest man, Elon Musk was dropped from the S&P 500 ESG index. The index moved to remove Musk amidst claims of social discrimination and crashes due to the autopilot vehicles. Shortly after Tesla was removed, Musk took to twitter and tweeted that “ESG is a scam”.

There are other factors that lead to the removal of Tesla, such as a lack of publishing details regarding low energy or business conduct codes.

Tesla's stock price has also seen major volatility in the past week, with rising investor concerns around the removal from the S&P 500 ESG index, Musks on-and-off Twitter deal and the CEOs political tweets regarding the Republican and Democratic parties in the U.S
